Good selection but IMHO no list of 1980s horror movies are complete without Return of the Living Dead (1985) Hotwater
Yes, that one is up there too, love that movie. There's a lot more i could list, the 80's had a ton of great horror movies.
The 1980s were horror movie heaven There were several franchises including, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Hellraiser, and The Wishmaster (which although it came out in the 1990s it had a 1980s feel to it) Hotwater
Goonies, Gremlins and Lost Boys aside - I found this Horror, as I did a 'Moondance' under a "Bad ('Blue') Moon Rising", a Classic
I like Magic with Anthony Hopkins and Ann Margret. I was made in 1978 but was popular in the 1980s when HBO was still a baby.
I see you like Van Morrison too? I used to have The Philosopher's Stone (I think that's the name) and it had some great tunes. I had a bunch of the older stuff too like Tupelo Honey and Wavelength. I just missed him at Red Rocks in Colorado because I was working or something.
I really enjoy his music. Some is so fun and other songs are so soothing. I saw him in Boston in 2003 I am pretty sure it was.. was just after I graduated high school by a year or so maybe
I started listening to Van back in the 1970s when he produced Brown Eye Girl and them Moondance after that. He did a great song about Vincent Van Gaugh and it is on Philosopher's Stone. I really liked When I Was A Cowboy On The Western Plains, and John Henry Died With His Hammer In His Hand.
Also check out a song on Wavelength. I think it is called Kingdom House? I couldn't figure out what he was saying but I always associate the Kingdom House name with the Jehovah Witness church. I think that I heard they don't listen to music? So, maybe Van was saying music is a great form of worship. In any case the song is a rockin song!
Van Morrison is excellent. maybe the best thing to come out of belfast. For another 80's horror film I would go with Maniac Cop
Ill have to check it out. Have you seen Killer Workout? Terrible! But super fun to watch lol awesomely bad
I thought that movie was awful with George Kennedy and that Cigar Store Indian, and that group of idiot teenagers being devoured by that lake creature (based on Stephen King's short story) "The Raft"
