In other words, WE DON'T HAVE ANY F***ING IDEA!

 

We DO have clues and theories. The deepest Hubble image shows red shifted galaxies out to 13 billion years. These are moving AWAY from us. This would currently be the visible limit. As technology and observing techniques improve we'll see further, how much further we don't know yet. That's what makes astronomy and science in general so exciting.

Yes it is exciting.I want to know if our universe is a closed system.

we are a product of our own rules, we can learn from what kind of set of rules we've had in the past and how it worked out and from that experience we produce a new set of norms and values...... that's how look upon it

Well spaces does not continue on forever, nothing does. It is probably as large as this universe is. Matter did not exist before the big bang and hence I would expect space did not either. If there is anything called space I am shore there is something in it, to fill it as there is in our universe.

It has ALWAYS existed. [in one form or another.
Space 'continuing forever' is of no relevance. DURATION is what maters.]

This is just plain common sense.

 

Presumably, all the particles of physical bodies we can observe are traveling away from one another at high speeds, yet we cannot discern this with any of our instruments because everything is relative. Our instruments are expanding at the same rate that which we're measuring is.

And considering this stuff is travelling outward and away from itself, is it being replenished?

 

I always thought that our universe was finite but unbounded. In any case my life and reality as I see it is of limited and contingent duration indeed. Common sense.

 

our minds cant comprehend something which is never ending. everything we have on earth has a limitation, so to naturally we think that the universe ends at a point. the universe never ending and no-one can ever get to the edge of the universe.
