Just wanted to get some opinions on this situation: I've been good friends with this guy, 'X', for a long time and there has always been a sort of connection between us, such as sharing the same hippy views and enjoying the same humor. We've always gotten along great and if I were single, I'd be interested to see where things could lead. Yes, I'm in a long-term relationship and my BF, 'X', and I have hung out throughout the years whenever 'X' was in town visiting. The thing is I received an email from 'X' recently and I wonder if he has more than just friendly feelings for me. In essence, he wanted to let me know that I am one of the most amazing people he's had the pleasure of knowing and that he's always felt comfortable around me. I replied I was touched and honoured and shared with him something I'd admired about him (the way he relates to people). This is the first time he's expressed himself this way to me though he has flirted innocently in the past. So, does he have feelings for me or was he just expressing his thoughts as a friend? For the record, I don't intend to explore things further with 'X' or anyone else when in a relationship - I do not believe in cheating.
