    I would walk 804.672 kilometres
And I would walk 804.672 more
    Just to be the man..

    Nahh, doesn't work. :p

I just done get Fahrenheit with 32* being the freezing point.

    0mph is still 0kmh
But 0* freezing point is 32F:worried:

I was raised with metric, imperial and standard systems. Standard is what is used in the US. It is generally the same as imperial, but with differences in fluid volumes.
Being in Canada, I think both metric and imperial, but also have to work with US gallons and such often.
Usually temperature is C, volume is litres and imp. Gallons, distance is km, miles and time. Distance is often just time, since most driving is at about 100 km/h. And everything is at least 15 minutes from home, and usually much further, at an hour or more.

Don't really see a while lot of kilometers around here. It's not unusual to see both c. And f. For tempetures though so I don't think anything of it.

I'm UK and a lot of people talk about cold in C and hot in F
ie its below zero = centigrade
its really hot in the 80's = Fahrenheit
    strange

once you understand the metric system and how simple it is you will get it.....start with a gram of water....guess what else it equals?....i milliliter ...and since the entire metric system is tens it is simple to figure huge amounts in your head

It used to be only about 3000 miles to Vancouver from Ottawa, but now it's 5000+ kilometres, which seems farther - kliks are such pissant wee things and celsius is hlegmatic. Who is it and where is the room where the decision to change terminology to celsius from centigrade. Are there people trained from birth to make these decisions?

I know both Imperial and metric and am mid-atlantic with regard to my our/or words etc (and a few crazy slang Northern Ireland terms, based on old Norse, and a few Republic of Ireland slab expressions, such as culchie and gurrier

So liters can't be far behind? Then there's the question of putting the 'h' back in whack job and whacky (snce people become whacky by being whacked - there's no getting around it)

PS - how am I going to convert my seven league boots, eh?????

In iRacing there are two options for length and temperature. Keep in mind this was designed in America. The options are...

    English
    Metric.

    LMFAO.

No I think in miles and temperature(s) in Fahrenheit.

    Otherwise………..

The iconic Indy 500 becomes the Indy 805K (or more specifically the Indy 804.672)

Instead of the Mile High City, Denver becomes the 1.6 kilometer-high city

The Quarter Pounder with Cheese suddenly becomes the 0.11 Kilogrammer with Cheese

The Subway Foot-long (I often have for lunch) suddenly becomes the 0.3 meter-long sub.

I have a car that reads in KM but besides the constant math to make sure I don't speed I never think metric. America should though.

I weigh and measure people all day. The only time I go metric is if they are hugely overweight. I then switch to kgs to make them feel better.

I grew up learning Imperial weights & measures. Half way through primary school we told to forget Imperial and learn Metric. When it comes to home renovation Millimetres is the go especially when it comes to drawing up plans.
It was in my late twenties I found out a Chain is unit of length.
