As a near on full time barefooter, I recently traveled up to Scotland and back, stopping off at motorway service. I can say Tebay Northbound and Southbound is an amazing barefoot experience. Cool floors, grassy areas and not your usual services! I also stopped off in Penrith and walked barefoot from Sainsburys, where they have a covered car park where your soles get filthy in seconds, I spent the entire day walking around Penrith with no issues. I did get a few usual looks in Sainsburys, but nothing major. Most shops were fine too. I did get a group og school kids having a laugh and saying ewww but I just ignored and carried on. I did spot a mother and young daughter in Penrith, both with dirty soles and no signs of any shoes. I also say a group of young lads, and one was barefoot with dirty soles and no shoes in sight. While walking though a park, there was a mother and young child, and the child said that man isnt wearing shoes. A few minutes later they passed and were both barefoot carrying their shoes in hand. At the end of the day my soles were absurdly filthy! Anyone else in the UK full time barefoot?
Anyone else in the UK full time barefoot?[/QUOTE] Sounds like you had an amazing trip! I'm in the UK up in Yorkshire and barefoot most of the time. Can't be barefoot full time because of work.
