WOW, what a fucking concept, federal level laws that give all workers fair and equal rights. You know what's NOT FAIR? When small groups of workers disrupt an entire country to get better than fair pay. To raise inflation and costs for everyone else, to ruin companies and drive complete industries to other countries. But for real, you have a legitimate point. Apparently most of the workers don’t want to strike right now. They’ll be going through contract negotiations soon, so they have to make their point now or else they won’t have any leverage... Starting wages are a lot lower now, a fair bit of it due to them hiring so many foreigners... benefits are going “bye-bye” as well.

My opinion is worthless, though. I’d throw a million babies off a cliff for $100,000. That’s not even a dollar per baby.

Not me personally but I suspect a high percent of mail in the system now is drug related. If it's not from Amazon or a bill (which most pay online) what mail do you get? Yet people are in a hurry to get it.

 

This strike isnt even over new issues. This is over the governemnt breaking the negotiations of their last strike years ago.

And no. When the union (or wildcats) win a right, it is spread to all workers. That is how we have maternity leave, overtime pay, breaks, health and safety standards etc. Essentially anything that doesnt represent blatant slavery was won by workers.

How can someone not know the history of workers rights and struggle?
