I disagree.

They made one cd that sounded popier (it's a word because I said so) than those before it. That's not cheesy, they just went for a different sound.

They quickly disliked it and went back to their old sound and producer for their last album in 1993.

 

Eh, depends on who 'they' were.

I've heard Kurt Cobain dragged his feet the whole time, hated the album and wanted to call it Sheep. Then he referred to it as being a joke like Motley Crue. But I've also heard that the band overall was impressed with the producer (forget his name)

In Utero is a little bit more raw, but not too much really; and was nowhere near the rough grunge of Bleach still.

I think their best work was Unplugged anyways though; so I suppose a band and their albums can have some dissonance..

Even as someone who was not a fan of Nirvana in their hay day...that was pure shit. Somethings simply should not be re-done, and that is one of them. Of course, Miley sucks, this is just more proof!

I am coming around to liking Nirvana now, FWIW.
