Beach erections

I'm a regular at Haulover Beach in North Miami, probably the largest nude beach in the country. I've been nudist for over 30 years. Regarding erections, it's never cool to flaunt one on the beach or in a nudist park or resort. Some guys get the notion to walk around with a hardon at Haulover, and they very quickly get reported to beach staff. If they persist in flaunting, the police are called.

However a simple erection is usually no big deal. Just don't flaunt it or actively masturbate. Sexual activity in public is illegal, and that includes beaches, nudist parks, and nudist resorts. I personally have seen guys hauled off the sand in handcuffs.

 

I've just read the thread and see the usual amount of mythological thinking about nudism that always seems to be around. First, erections are extremely rare in nudist settings. It just doesn't happen all that often. For example, there's a big gathering of swingers every weekend at Haulover, the randiest bunch of wild living hellraisers you're ever likely to find. They have their own spot where they set up. I walk by them all the time. Hardons in the group? Never.

Folks, it is illegal to engage in sexual activity in public, and that would include the manual stimulation most men require to stiffen their willies, also known as masturbation. If someone gets the idea that walking around with a hardon at Haulover might be fun, beach staff is on him in an instant setting him straight, if you'll excuse the expression. If he gives anyone a hard time (save me from myself!), the police are called.

Nudism is great fun. I've been into it for over 30 years. I wouldn't want to live any other way. But for those who daydream that nudist gathering places are some kind of sexual utopia where the normal rules of social conduct don't apply, I've got some advice for ya -- quit yer daydreamin'!

I have already tried to clue the clueless here about erections at an established and monitored clothing optional beach but they come back with all this fantasy stuff about nothing wrong with boners on a public beach.

I have read all kinds of heavy-handed warnings of gloom and doom on the Net if any male so much as hints that he is a male.

In real life, however, I have seen quite a few erections at various nude venues, both public and private, and no hysteria, no panic, no mass government show of force ensued. Everyone went about their business and life went on.

That's why I pay little attention to such advice on the Net. Real life debunks it every time.

And who thought a hippie would turn out a conformist? Go figure.

Nudism is now conformity? First off, don't say "In real life, however, I have seen quite a few erections at various nude venues, both public and private,..." Give me the names. You are being vague, which makes your statement sound like so much Net BS.

Now the Nude Beach to which I refer is at Haulover Park, a Miami-Dade County Parks beach which after much struggle years ago (and arrests of those "conformists" who pushed the issue) finally thru legal wrangling was established as a clothing optional beach within the laws of Florida.

Now this was a real feat - considering the backwardness of the state of Florida, but there it was in the law (after all those "conformists" were arrested) that in a "place set apart" it was legal to be nude.

However, that does not cover the Florida "lewd and lascivious" law, which would close the nude beach if the "non-conformist" moralists could prove that it had negative secondary effects such as sexual activity.

So, understand why we "conformists" are very protective of our right to sunbathe nude and feel the warmth and wind over all our body and don't want to lose it because someone who is not invested in nudism but just his hedonistic fuck thoughts of the moment doesn't care what damage he does to our unique situation.

Now, what was that beach or venue where you can sport a boner and not have any flack?

And, how many blatant boners did you see at Haulover? Gotta admit, I've seen them on ocassion, but they were very discreet. No one will walk with one showing or if he dares will not get very far without a SFFB member confronting him with a lifeguard.

I know what you mean about those sensual feelings. I love to lie in the sun totally free of clothing and feel its warm presence on all my body. Love to feel the breeze hitting all sensual nerves on my skin without some constricting piece of cloth in the way.

This is why we are so glad here to have Haulover Beach and why we will not let some yahoo flashing a boner fuck it up for us by getting our beach shut down for lewdness. If that makes us old Hippies the controlling conformists, then so be it.

 

Shale thanks for your greeting. Mighty good of you. I can't tell for sure from your pic if I've ever seen you at Haulover, but you do look a little familiar. I sit near the shoreline 50 yards south of Lifeguard Stand 14 (the old 26) under a blue and white umbrella. I'll keep an eye out for you.

hardboy -- your claims are nonsense. I've been to Gunnison, San Onofre, Blacks, and Orient, as well as Haulover many times in 30 years of nudist living. I forgot more about what happens at these places than you'll ever know. To spread the fairytale that public sexual activity takes place with impunity in any of these venues is irresponsible and false. Both Shale and I have conceded that erections do happen, and they may be overlooked or ignored if discretely managed, but A) hardons are rare -- much more rare than the typical non-nudist fantasizes, and B) a hardon brings down swift censure from surrounding beachgoers, and eventually from beach staff, if it's flaunted or if it's part of an overt sex act such as masturbation or sexual touching.

I have seen guys arrested at Haulover --- 911 call right on the spot from surrounding witnesses --- for the very activity you claim causes "no hysteria, no panic, no mass government show of force." You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Sexual activity in public is illegal everywhere in the United States. And at Orient Beach on St Martin they'd throw your ass out on the street in a nanosecond if you walked around with a erection. Stop spreading falsehoods.

It's always seemed to me that this issue is only really a concern to those who are determined to create prurient interest about it, or those who have never actually been to a nude beach, and not among regular nude beach goers.

I've been to nude beaches a handful of times in my life, and if there were any "unwanted" erections, I didn't notice. It's simply not an issue. I don't quite believe that erections are totally beyond your control anyway, but that's another story.

I don't think Shale or FLTom are saying that human sexuality is turned off at nude beaches, only that there is a certain decorum that applies, like anywhere else. You don't go to a nude beach to see sex, at least not the public ones that are mentioned here.

 

No matter what country you are in, your best chance of getting by with something sexual on a beach is to find an isolated area where nobody is in charge, and there are no regular patrols. The seagulls aren't going to call 911 and report you. Wherever there are humans, there are prudes.

 

The fact that one does not care to view open sexual activity during an outing at the beach, especially where children may be present, does not constitute being a "prude". The point isn't to "get by with something", it's to avoid having the clothing-optional status of these beaches rescinded, on the one hand, and the fact that you simply don't walk around with an exposed erect penis, leering at women, on the other.

I have no problem with finding a secluded spot and fucking like rabbits. I've done it. I've seen other people doing it. As long as the only people who will see it, want to see it, then I say ... "no problem at all".

Rules aren't always made to be broken. This is a rule that makes sense.

 

:chillpill: Hey, let's back up a sec. We are actually in agreement here. I was not saying people should go to established nude beaches and defy the rules. I was saying you should avoid those beaches if you want to do more. People with different values need their own space.

All these values are relative anyway. Somebody once wrote that a nymphomaniac is anybody who has more sex (and in more different positions) than you do. I would add to that statement that a prude is anybody who does less than you. In other words, everybody is going to have their own definition.

And I'm in agreement with all four of you about the need for sensible behaviour. Without common sense and good behaviour on the few nudist beaches there are, the chances of more are zero.

I have been to Gunnison Beach, NJ three times.

The first time I was so worried about being erect all day long and I expected to. When I got naked and walked around the beach for the first time I felt so free and good. And I also saw a few beautiful ladies laying out too. I got about 2/3 erect. I felt a little strange but proud. I walked back to my blanket and it went away.
The rest of the day I didn't get too excited and the cool water made me smaller than normal actually.
Later in the day, however, two beautiful young ladies were walking on the beach. I couldn't help but get about 1/3 percent erect. Then they asked me to take pictures of them as they frolicked in the water! I got larger and being around them made my erection bigger; about 2/3 percent erect. I could tell they were checking me out and smiling. It felt really good that they liked it!

The second time I went I was banking on being erect since it was the first time of the season. After a cold, hard winter I totally expected it. However, I didn't get aroused much at all. I guess I was used to the surroundings.
I even tried to become erect on purpose without touching myself. I checked out a hot brunette and followed her with my eyes as she walked toward me and then away. I only got about 1/3 percent erect and it went away. The beach was packed that day so there was so much eye candy ... maybe too much?

The third time I felt good that I wouldn't have to worry about an erection but also felt bad since maybe the thrill was gone? I only got about 1/3 erect when I walked close a few times to a very nice young lady that was only topless. I could tell she was noticing myself growing larger and seemed a bit timid so that was the end of that.

I think I am going back in two days. For some reason I want to be erect for a little while just to see how people react. Sooner or later it will happen. Maybe not this time but another.

As far as other men being erect the three times at Gunnison Beach, I really didn't notice any really large erections at all. Most men are small and if they did have one you could not tell! I wish there were a few erections here and there; it would be so much better for us men to know it is okay to have one and not worry about it.

Lastly, I have see a number of men stroking themselves at Gunnison but none of them were ever erect.
