Honest good hearted people usually have significant positive experiences with
psychedelics as DMT. But what happens corrupt greedy and evil people take
this? I cannot imagine they would a positive experience from it.

I have a pretty evil mate. All of his trips, no matter what the substance, revolve around his death and mortality. He dies all the time in his trips and then is reborn.

Charles Manson is probably the evil figure I'd point to as to what can potentially happen when an evil person takes psychedelics. He pretty much brainwashed people on acid, fed them stories that he had divine knowledge to predict the future and had his 'family' murder a few people. This is some 40 odd years ago, so an incident like that is rare but I think it is something the psychedelic community should acknowledge and learn from.

More recently a UFC fighter killed his friend on mushrooms. I don't really know the character of that guy based on the article but I assume given the nature of the profession he was aspiring to, he at least had some aspects of him which are not all that pleasant.

With that said, you probably won't hear too many stories in the media of people leading an evil life whose lives significantly improved after some psychedelic experiences. A good question but due to the subjectivity of defining an evil person and the common knowledge psychedelic stories practically all being relayed through mainstream media, it's a difficult one to answer.

I don't agree with the use of the word "evil", I would suggest "troubled" :p. Remember those people only have bad trips if 1) they are capable of seeing the error of their ways and 2) they happen to be shown the error of their ways during the trip. Both conditions must be fulfilled for an "evil" person to have a rough time on a psychedelic. Otherwise they experience the same boundless euphoria, pleasure and beauty as anyone else.

    evil is subjective.
an act of evil from your perspective could be the total opposite to some other.
Is the wolf evil for eating a sheep?

So, do any of you think that "evil" (I personally like mr writer's use of the term "troubled" better though) or "troubled" people at least are the only ones that would have a really bad trip? Or to put in slightly different words- do you guys think it's possible (esp considering what the person is using and how the batch is...whether there's anything dirty bout it...) for someone who is not at least troubled at the moment to experience a pretty bad trip?

i think anyone can have a bad trip. many things can affect the outcome of a trip, set and setting being one.

First off, I think they are completely different. A "troubled" person would be like the drop out, build a sandbox in your room a la Brian Wilson type or person who just lost their job type person and turns to psychedelics to cope in a non beneficial set/setting. An "evil" person would be more along the lines of a Manson-type, someone who uses psychedelics to maliciously manipulate or denegrate others, more of a psychopath.

Bad trips can potentially happen to anyone, Psychedelics don't have a moral compass (although on some of my heavier trips I'd maybe slightly amend that :D ) they interact with the individuals neurochemistry and so It's the negative response of the individual to their radically changed consciousness which elicits a bad trip. That's why there is so much emphasis on set and setting.
