When and how did you first learn about sex?

Well, let's hear 'em.

Me, I was 6 years old and my mom took me to go see "Adams Family Values" (hey, I was 6 and she let me see a PG-13 movie, it's her fault! ) and somewhere in the movie they said the word "sex". So I asked her what it was and she said she'd tell me later. So after the movie we were in the grocery store and I asked her again. She got all embarassed but knew she couldn't get out of it this time so she clenched her teeth and whispered under her breath, "It's when a man sticks his penis inside a woman's vagina!" She didn't explain it any further right away, so I just sat there wondering why the hell someone would want to do that...for the longest time I always pictured a man and a woman lying perfectly still with his penis in her vagina, and I didn't get what the point was until sometime later.

 

I remember that my mom explained to me what a condom was when I was about 5, but I can't be sure that she explained the whole thing. 1st and 2nd grade was when I think I learned all the ins and outs (no pun intended) of sex. From older friends and porn. But, I don't remember there being one certain event when someone laid it out for me and explained what sex was.

 

I knew that sex existed when i was in 2nd grade... but I did not know that it was used to make babies until 4th grade.

 

Uh... pretty much the first time I did it... haha...

I came from one of those crazy Christian families with the Just Say No mindset.... They believed that there should be no questions or curiosity.... you just didn't do it until you were married or you go to hell. Yeah, right. haha.... And schools do a terrible job of sex education. I think I could totally reform it....

 

I don't even know...but I know I knew about it in 5th grade...so sometime before/around that age.

 

Ha! I just remembered my school's pathetic attempt at sex education. It was 5th grade and they separated the boys and girls. We just watched a crappy video about "changes."

Ah, memories.

 

Truthfully I can't remember, all I know is that I've for the most part, known since I can remember..

 

i was three or four. my parents were having sex. i hid and watched. haha yep. i didnt really understand it though.

they still have sex ed. it's not fun. i think i first learned about how babies were made sometime during fourth or fifth grade and i first saw a porno image sometime during fifth in a popup advertisement.

 

I think I was 25 when I first learned about sex.
Now that I know quite a bit about it I hope to actually have sex within the next couple of years.

i learned this morning, about 6 am on the "talk dirty" thread. it was neat.

 

when I was little, I'd say about 7 or so, my sister drew me a picture of a penis inside of a vagina, pretty crappy drawing. Before that on Are you Afraid of the Dark the guy was a ghost and he told the girl he was a virgin, I asked my mom what it was and she asked where I heard it, I told her and she told me it was someone who hadn't had sex before. I have no idea when I really started learning about it

 

My fater took me to go see the movie Conan the Barbarian when I was 6 years old. There was a scene where Conan and some witch were "gettin' it on" and I remember being confused about why would Conan be jumping on top of this girl all naked? I asked my dad why was he doing this and he told me, "I explain this too you later." So, when we got home, he gave me a Playboy magazine and told me to look at it. Which even confused me even more.........LOL!
My father has always had a way of making me understand things............

well when i was six my babysitter was also babysitting this other little boy and she let him sleep in my bed. he told me that I was his girlfriend and that he had "done it" to his last girlfriend 10 times but he was gonna "do it" to me 20 times. I told him ok but I better not get pregnant (its like I just knew that would be a problem in the future) so he gets on top of me, clothes on, and humps.

I used to hear my dad having sex all the time so knew of the concept. but one day after school in about the 3rd or 4th grade I was trying to watch a tape of "beverly hills cop". My dad had left his porno in the VCR and I pushed play because usually my tape stayed in there. I watched with horror, disgust, and fascination. That's how I found out what sex was

 

Miss Fontella, I hope those Virginia men have smartened up a bit, and you have your pick of cute guys. You sure deserve it. I remember those days of 6 years old too, watching a girl go pee, and asking her where does it come out? I learned the details from my dad's stash of playboy mags when i was about eleven or so.

I really learned more this year, at 40, so it has been a lifelong learning process. Which I enjoy quite a bit.

 

I can't remember when I found out what sex actually is... but I know for sure my parents never talked about it to me.

 

Sometime around when my sister was born (she's about 3 years younger than me) my mom explained the whole egg and sperm thing to me without really getting into how the sperm got in the woman in the first place. What I took from that discussion was that my sister was hatched from an egg like a chicken's, and it was quite some time later before I learned otherwise.

Around when I was 9 I was friends with that kid who exists in every town in every grade who somehow already knew everything about sex. We used to get into heated arguments because I was convinced that men didn't actually penetrate women. I told him that they just rubbed against each other. I was absolutely certain of this.

Within in a year I figured it all out with the help of some sex book I found buried in our basement. I then became the disseminator of all that naughty knowledge.
