Im Tryin to grow marijuana in a fish tank that is not very big. it is about 3 1/2 feet in length 1 1/2 feet tall and 1 foot wide. i have 2 inches rocks of rocks on the bottom and 3 inches of soil on top of that. The fish tank is in my closet with a towel over it so it gets pretty hot in there becuz there is the fish tank light in there also. i just planted the seeds yesterday and i was just wondering if these plants will grow. and i was wondering if plants like hot weather as long as the soil is moist. and there is also an air tube in tank so the tank can get more air. well... sombody please write me back and tell me if they think these plants will grow.

    No.

Plants like the same temperature you do. if it's too hot for you to live in, it's too hot for them. And in a covered fish tank, it's too hot.

But stuff like this belongs in the Mj growing forum.

Make sure to take the fish out beforehand.

I'd invest in a HPS light if I was you.

And make the fishtank a hydroponic system, with some fans for air flow.

or you could just go to overgrow.com and read. :)

If you're in the US, you've got nothing to worry about unless your going overboard.

5 houses FULL of lights and weed were just busted here. They were only found because of hurricane Charley.

The cops can't randomly search- even with an infared detector.
Of course if you're in canada or europe, it's something else entirely.
Hooray for the 4th Amendment and the US Constitution!

i'd say unless you try and do a screen of green type deal you wont be very successful with plats at 1.5 feet tall.

gecko, check your facts. they can use their ultraviolets as long as they're standing on public property..like a sidewalk for example. the supreme court claimed that its not invasion of privacy.

    INFRARED not ULTRAVIOLETS.

    Check that again.
In any case, an infrared signiture is not enough to get a warrant anymore than excessive use of electricity is.

"I've got a tanning booth" or "I watch 10 TV's at a time like Elvis" is also possible. Resonable doubt.

Indoor growers only get busted when there's undercover or a certifiable snitch involved- or just plain stupidity.

18" plants are just fine- 12/12 from day one and a little tie down.

ok im sorry. but thats what they use is their ultraviolets.
sure they cant use it alone for a warrent. but when you start putting stuff together for the judge to approve a warrant or in court, they can throw that in there as probable cause, even if you do come back with probable doubt, saying that you couldve had the urge to grow tomatos in your closet.

you will be able to start the plants of that way but you will not be able to grow them in the tank. It is to small or you may like to make it higher. But you said you only have a fishtank light if so that is only good to grow it for a few weeks untill they are about 3 inches high then you will need to get a highpreasure bulband you will need a fan to keep it cool 22.c
