I want to know if anyone can confirm that Blue Lotus Flower works. This the the flower, or long lust drug of the ancient Egyptions. You are supposed to mix it with alchol and it makes a new compound with very interesting effects. It is listed with the other marijuana alternatives at erowid.com and is legal and you can buy dried bags of it online. It is what the ancient Egyptions supposedly mixed with alcohol for some really interesting effects. It is legal, but it hasn't been studied very well and it supposedly has NO psychoactive drugs in it so people didn't think anything would happen. But what they think is that when it is mixed with alcohol that it changes. The Egyptions loved the stuff. You can buy it online in bags and it is legal, so if it works I maybe wouldn't have to drink very much alcohol and it would be healther for me and legal with this Blue Lotus and it would be very interesting. If you guys haven't tried it or know the answer read up on it and tell me what you think. Thanks.
i have no information on the subject but I think this thread does not belong here good luck with that though or maybe just smoke some weed?
^^^ its not really a scam... there are psychoactives in alot of those herbal alternatives and other herbals...but usually their effects are nothing of the marijuana type..
No no no, this shit goes waaaaaaay back in the day. We studied it in school for awhile because it played a big part in 'The Odyssy' (sp?) story. People like the egyptians and ancient roman nomads would eat it all the time and get fucked up, supposedly its supposed to work. If you can buy bags of it, I say go for it and see what happens. Its not one of those 'legal high' BS. Good luck
you're saying that the "lotus-eaters" in the odyssey were eating blue lotus? if so, i've gotta get some of this stuff! those crazy lotus-eaters sounded like they were having the time of their life...just laying there in the field...with only their noses, and an occasional set of toes, to be seen... =D
yeah the lotus eaters tried to lure the crew to just chill out and eat the lotus and trip out all day and forget about odysseus... gotta love the greeks.
iv made a list below of my experiences with the three lotus's 10x extract (powdered) white lotus = ingested using a standard tea preparation Effects: mild euphoria, memory is very slippy, a childish nature seems to be restored. mild loss of perception/clarity. Blend/Tea (plant material) white lotus, pink lotus, blue lotus flower petals = ingested using a standard tea preparation. Effects: no enhanced euphoria, can balance you if you are in a negative state, but no experiences similar to the extract, dosage assumed too low and previous effects not achievable. Blue Lily of the nile Extract 15x (liquid bottle) blue lily of the nile = ingested with hot water effects: body felt similar to a single shot of liquer, probably due to the alc% of the extract. Blue lotus liquid extract 10x = weaker of same experience, later mixed both remaining halfs of each bottle consuming 1 total, fell asleep . blue lily of the nile (Nymphaea Caerulea) - smoked via bong effects: wierd. similar to the extracted liquid. organic cold extracted triple lotus paste this is by far the best experience, euphoria, relaxant, clarity of mind, peacefullness. the one tibetan monk who sells this hand made product can be found through this herbal vendor www.iamshaman.com SUMMARY: blue lily of the nile seems to have a stronger effect then the standard lotus species, probably due to quality variations, but the triple lotus paste has turned out to be the best experience, i would imagine mixing the paste with alchohol which is one preparation for it, would be very delightful
iv just tried my first cup of blue lotus tea, quite a pleasent tasting tea, similar to licorice tea (i think) and it has the most lovely aroma. Id go for another cup but waiting to see if anything happens first. Even if it dosnt iv found me a nice refreshing tea. I feel quite calm, but do anyway so not sure if its the tea working yet, will let you know if anything happens.
BLUE LOTUS COMMON NAMES Blue Lotus; Blue Water Lily; Egyptian Lotus; Sacred Narcotic Lily of the Nile Nymphaea ampla: White Lotus Nelumbo nucifera: Sacred Lotus; Pink Lotus EFFECTS CLASSIFICATION Sedative DESCRIPTION The dried flowers of certain species of Nymphaea and Nelumbo are sometimes smoked, made into a tea, or macerated in alcohol for a mild sedative effect. Blue Lotus is a mild relaxing herb on its own, and a wonderful relaxing potentiator for many plants and substances. It is frequently featured in smoking blends. It is very effective when mixed. Blue lotus mixes well with: Alcohol Cannabis Shesha Kanna Dagga Dagga & Salvia (very popular commercial combination) many others... When mixed with substantial amounts of cannabis, some claim it simply feels like smoking more cannabis. However, instead of providing a more edgy/high type of experience, it is more relaxing and calm. It is ideal for treating paranoia while high, although it will only increase the potency. In the Homer's Odyssey, there are lotus eaters who eat Blue Lotus. They have gone crazy, presumably from eating the plant.
