I don't think her punk credentials strech any further than wearing the right t-shirt to be honest.. but who knows she might be quite versed in it all.. i don't know ?. she is so last week though
haha I agree! I like her! shes a talented song writer but I said this about GC now im gonna say this bout Avril! I dont class her as anything but herself! Her music is awesome!
not my cup of tea really... but i definatly wouldn't call her punk. but theres alot of "punk" out right ow that isn't punk.
avril is not punk. she's actually my like 5th cousin, and she's not punk at all/ grrr... if i met her, i dont know if id introduce her to real punk like fear, exploited, circle jerks, minor threat, black flag, the germs, dead kennedys (although they have somehow recently became popular) she's too much of a fake "im a rebel" person to get the privelege to listen to those bands. she even admitted that before she became popular she had only started listening to music. oh well, there's gottabe music like this so you can hear what bad music sounds like.
If anyone here likes Avril i challenge you to listen to her live without pro tools fixing her voice...she's worse than Ashley Simpson live i'd say... And her fake attitude...i have an urge to push her down a flight of stairs, i don't know where that came from though, haha.
avrils music is ok i guess, but she isnt punk. she dresses like the steriotipical punlks and stuff, but i doubt shes actually ever gone out and done something trully punk. shes only in it about the music, not the cause.
a lot of people say "true punks dont care about what people label them" and stuff like that, so theoreticly it shouldnt matter if she is concidered punk or not because the name goes against itself if u take it like stated above. i recently read a review with the sex pistols, where they were insulting greenday on the way they dressed and acted, and avril lavign is in that same category for me...
